Sea turtles have been monitored, and conservation activities have been implemented in 2022 on the Samandağ coasts, Türkiye.

The Samandağ Coasts are an important green turtle nesting site in the Mediterranean. In 2022, regular monitoring and conservation activities have been implemented, and a total of 1675 Chelonia mydas and 4 Caretta caretta nests have been recorded on Samandağ coasts. In addition to the regular monitoring of sea turtle nests, some conservation activities were implemented, such as raising awareness among the public, local residents, and beach users.
