A new loggerhead nest has recorded in Gökçeada

Pınar Dermancı, one of our university students, who saw a hatchling on Aydıncık beach in Gökçeada, called our centre and reported it. Emre Sandık, a Biology Department student at our university who works voluntarily within our centre and has a master's degree on sea turtles, went to the field and explored the entire beach and observed the nest location. Following the new emergences, he has made a control opening on October 5, 2023 and scientifically has recorded the information about the nest.
